Three things general web designers get wrong for Asian-owned businesses

First: language. A web designer who doesn't speak Japanese, Chinese, or Korean can't write your content in those languages. They can use Google Translate. But machine-translated content reads wrong to native speakers, and it erodes trust before a customer even looks at your menu or service list.

Second: cultural context. A high-end Japanese restaurant and a casual hibachi spot for families need completely different visual languages, copy tones, and customer journeys — even if both owners would describe their business as "a Japanese restaurant." A designer without exposure to these distinctions will build you a generic food website with Asian fonts added.

Third: community knowledge. DFW's Asian business community has its own networks, referral patterns, and discovery channels. Knowing which Facebook groups Japanese restaurant owners use, which review platforms Korean nail salon customers trust — this doesn't come from a web design textbook. It comes from being embedded in the community.

What each business type actually needs

Japanese restaurants

Hair salons (Japanese straightening, Korean perms, K-beauty)

Nail salons

Professional services (real estate, relocation, accounting)

The local advantage

UNA Consulting is based in Aubrey, TX — not a remote agency pretending to know DFW. We visit businesses in person when it helps. We know the difference between the Japanese community in Frisco and the one in Carrollton. We also operate UNA Dallas, a Japanese-language media platform for the DFW area, which gives us direct access to the community we build websites for.

Completed work

Majiko Service (Japanese relocation and real estate consulting in DFW) and Emi Piano Studio (Japanese-language piano lessons for children and adults in the DFW area). Both sites were built with different visual direction, different copy tone, and different functional priorities — because each business serves a different customer in a different context.

K-beauty)

ネイルサロン

プロフェッショナルサービス

地元であることの実際的な価値

UNA ConsultingはAubrey, TX在住です。DFWを知っているふりをするリモートエージェンシーではありません。制作実績としてMajiko ServiceとえみピアノAdStudio室があります。業種もお客様も文脈も異なるため、それぞれ異なるビジュアル方向・コピートーン・機能の優先順位で制作しています。
